A 14-year-old boy was discovered cooking breakfast inside a home on Ezakheni Road in Hazelmere – KZN, South Africa after allegedly breaking into the property in the early hours of Saturday, December 27.
According to the homeowner, the teenager gained entry by removing the gate and forcing open a door before stealing clothing and food items.
When the homeowner arrived, he found the boy inside the house frying eggs.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was contacted for assistance and officers arrived to find the home ransacked.
Residents informed the officers that the teenager is known in the area for previous housebreaking incidents.
The suspect was handed over to Police for further investigation.
