It was Nigeria that provided intelligence for the US strike in Nigeria- Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has confirmed the Federal Government’s approval of US military airstrike on terrorists camp in the North, on Christmas day, December 25.

 

Speaking on Channels TV this morning December 26, Tuggar said

It was Nigeria that provided intelligence for the US strike in Nigeria. I spoke with the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, for 19 minutes before the strike, and we spoke again for another five minutes before the strikes went on” he said

The US Department of Defense on Thursday, December 26, said multiple “ISIS fighters” were k!lled in the airstrikes, which it said were conducted at the request of Nigerian authorities.

 

President Trump also confirmed the operation, describing the strikes as decisive action against terrorist groups and reiterating his administration’s stance against the spread of extremist violence.
