DJ Tim Westwood, 68, denies more than a dozen s£x attacks including four counts of r@pe

DJ Tim Westwood has denied r@pe and sxual abuse charges while he was working at the BBC. The former Radio One presenter is accused of attacking several women while working at the BBC studios and at a London music festival. In total, the 68-year-old denied 15 sx abuse charges relating to alleged attacks on seven women spanning over three decades between 1983 and 2016. Westwood appeared in the dock of court one in Southwark Crown Court to enter his pleas on Monday, December 8. He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth, and address, and enter the pleas during the brief hearing. The former DJ pleaded not guilty to nine counts of indecent ass@ult, two counts of sxual ass@ult, and four counts of r@pe. He is accused of indecently assaulting a woman three times at the BBC studios around 1996. Westwood is also alleged to have r@ped a woman at a London hotel in 1996 and sexually assaulted another woman at a music festival in the city around 20 years later.Some of his alleged victims were as young as 17 at the time. The most recent allegation relates to a sexual assault of a woman in her 20s in Finchley, north London, in 2016. The prosecution comes after a lengthy Metropolitan Police investigation into the DJ, who was once one of BBC Radio 1s biggest stars.Westwood was told he will not face trial until 2027. The DJ sat in the dock with his hands clasped in front of him throughout the preliminary hearing. He was released on conditional bail ahead of his trial, which is due to take place at Southwark Crown Court on January 25, 2027. Westwood joined BBC Radio One in 1994 to present a rap show and continued to be one of the Corporations stars on the channel and 1Xtra until his departure in 2013.
