Man nabbed in Lagos school two months after he allegedly r@ped minor

A yet-to-be-identified man has been nabbed while attempting to r@pe a secondary school student two months after he allegedly r@ped a minor in Ojodu axis of Lagos State.

According to Punch, the suspect was apprehended in a school premises on Wednesday when the survivor sighted him and raised the alarm.

Angry residents took the suspect to the Ojodu Division station located at the Grammar School Bus Stop, along Ogunnusi Road.

One of the residents who spoke under the condition of anonymity said the suspect was a shoe repairer in the area and had also attempted to r@pe another student of the school.

“The man came to the girl’s house and asked her for water, saying that he was thirsty. When she went to bring it, he forced his way in and r@ped her. The girl didn’t tell anyone, not even her parents. But she wrote the whole thing in a diary, and someone saw it, and that was how it became known,” the resident narrated.

“It was just today that the school principal knew about this whole issue when the suspect walked into the school, and the girl recognised him. As for the girl he tried to r@pe, she said she went for a church programme and went to the restroom to ease herself, but she didn’t close the door, thinking that it was a girls-only toilet.

“The suspect had followed her, barged into the restroom and tried to force himself on her. Fortunately, she was able to hit him and run out. I don’t know this guy’s name, but I see him around here, walking about and acting like he is homeless. Some people said he has a shop where he mends shoes.”
