If Nigeria goes to war, I’m ready – Pastor Paul Adefarasin

Pastor Paul Adefarasin has stated that while he hopes Nigeria never finds itself in a full-scale war, he is personally prepared should such a situation arise.

This comes following the repeated attacks in various regions by bandits who have abducted and killed locals, prompting international concerns.

Adefarasin addresses Nigeria’s conflict

Speaking on the rising tensions linked to domestic security challenges, Adefarasin described Nigeria as one of the battlegrounds in a wider clash between global civilisations.

Adefarasin noted that while he hopes the country doesn’t go to war, he is however ready.

He expressed optimism that ongoing diplomatic efforts could help permanently eliminate terrorism from the country, though he warned that such progress would require strategic thinking and strong negotiation.

He added that, despite the importance of dialogue, he believes negotiating with t+rrorists is not an advisable path.

Nigeria’s security challenges

The pastor’s remarks come amid heightened national anxiety over insecurity, renewed t+rror attacks in several regions, and public debates about the country’s preparedness for escalating conflict.

His words …

“I certainly hope that Nigeria doesn’t have to go to war, but I’m ready for it. Can’t discuss those things because there is still dialogue going on and it is two civilizations globally fighting, Nigeria is just one of the fronts. I hope the dialogue works and expunge terrorism from Nigeria perpetually. It is going to take a lot of brain and negotiation, but I really don’t think you should negotiate with terrorists.”
