10 suspects arrested as anti-graft agency rescues 7 trafficked Nigerians forced into cyber fraud in Ghana

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has rescued seven Nigerian nationals who were allegedly trafficked into Ghana and coerced into cyber fraud operations. The rescue mission was carried out at Mataheko-Afienya on Friday, November 14, 2025, as part of EOCOs ongoing Operation LIFELINE. The specialised intelligence-led anti-graft agency in a statement on Monday, November 17, said during the swoop, officers arrested 10 individuals, three suspects and seven victims, all Nigerian nationals.  The victims, aged 17 to 30, were reportedly lured to Ghana with promises of legitimate employment but ended up being subjected to harsh, exploitative conditions while carrying out online fraud schemes. EOCO urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities through its hotlines and law enforcement channels.  The agency also cautioned landlords to thoroughly verify the backgrounds of foreign tenants before renting out properties to them It further warned that persons found engaging in or facilitating cybercrime will be pursued and prosecuted, reaffirming its commitment to tackling organised crime and protecting vulnerable victims.  The post 10 suspects arrested as anti-graft agency rescues 7 trafficked Nigerians forced into cyber fraud in Ghana appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
