Anambra election: “I ‘m a winner”

Anambra election:

The African Action Congress (AAC) candidate in the just-concluded Anambra State governorship election, Chioma Ifemeludike, has declared herself a winner after securing a total of 292 votes.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Edoba Omoregie, the actress and filmmaker garnered the votes across the state’s 21 local government areas.

Reacting to the announcement, Ms Ifemeludike said integrity supersedes political deception.

“Integrity stands firm and higher than political deception. I ‘m a winner,” she wrote.

INEC declared Governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) the winner of the election.

Soludo poled 422,664 votes to defeat his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 99,445 votes.
