Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Nosa Afolabi popularly known as Lasisi Elenu has reacted after a social media post linked him to a viral Cameroonian drummer.
The post, which surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), compared Lasisi’s appearance to that of the drummer in a side-by-side photo collage.
The user, identified as Filmex, had shared the pictures in an attempt to motivate others not to give up, implying the drummer photo was a throwback image of Lasisi before fame.
The post quickly went viral, drawing the attention of thousands, including the comedian himself.
Skit Maker Reacts in Anger
After being tagged repeatedly, Lasisi responded in a tweet that stirred even more reactions online.
In his post, he wrote:
“Maaaaaaaa no just catch your papa, maaaa no jus.”
Who Is the Viral Cameroonian Drummer?
The man in question was later identified as Ela Oyono Mathieu, a talented drummer from Cameroon.
He recently gained attention for his energetic performances and unique drumming style.
An X account described him as:
“Cameroon’s best animator, currently going viral for his amazing drumming skills and style.”
Mathieu’s sudden fame got an extra boost when his photo was mistakenly associated with Lasisi Elenu, one of Nigeria’s most recognizable comedians.
