Faith: “It is narcissistic to label who triggered situation victim”

Nigerian media personality and former reality star, Uti Nwachukwu a.k.a Sir Uti, has weighed in on the dramatic disqualification of Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Faith, after his altercation with fellow contestant, Sultana.

Faith was disqualified on Thursday after clashing with Sultana during a task in the house. The heated exchange began when Faith, visibly frustrated, threatened to continue the task alone. Sultana challenged him, and the situation quickly escalated as both housemates tugged over a bucket of ingredients.

In the struggle, Sultana fell to the ground and was later seen limping away, prompting Biggie to disqualify Faith for breaching the show’s code of conduct.

Reacting via his official X handle, Uti cautioned against what he described as the “narcissistic” tendency to always label the instigator of a conflict as a victim while branding the person who reacts as an abuser.

“Could she have acted better – YES! Could he have handled it better? YES! A trigger is just as grave as a reaction. It is incredibly narcissistic to label the one who triggered/created/fueled the situation a VICTIM and then label the one who reacted (without hitting the other) – an Abuser,” Uti wrote.

While making it clear that he was not defending Faith, Uti emphasised that both housemates could have handled the situation differently. He described the incident as a learning point for young adults, stressing the importance of responding appropriately when provoked.

“This is not defending anyone. It’s analysing what we all watched live—not internet clips. Learn the lessons and dead sentiments – this is 2025, let’s be guided,” he added.

His remarks have since sparked debate online, with fans divided over whether Faith’s disqualification was justified or if Biggie should have also penalised Sultana for her role in escalating the incident.
