We want Ibadan state, Olubadan tells Tinubu

The newly crowned 44th Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, called on President Bola Tinubu to grant the wish of his people by creating Ibadan as an independent state out of current Oyo State.

He made the appeal on Friday, September 26, shortly after receiving the Staff of Office from Governor Seyi Makinde.

The former governor said: “My people sent me a message to Mr President. Mr President, they said the creation of Ibadan State is their priority.”

Ladoja urged Tinubu to make Ibadan state a reality before 2027.
