Troops on routine patrol have neutralised four suspected armed robbers along the Jos–Bauchi highway, recovering arms and ammunition from them.
According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, the operation followed credible information on a robbery incident by suspected criminals terrorising the area.
The troops swiftly mobilised to the scene and engaged the robbers in a gun duel.
In the exchange of fire, four suspects were neutralised and arms and ammunition were recovered.
The swift response of the troops has restored normalcy along the Jos–Bauchi axis.
