79-year-old Errol Musk, father of billionaire Elon Musk, has been accused of sexually abusing five of his children and stepchildren, according to a New York Times investigation.
According to The Guardian, the report cites letters, emails, interviews with family members, and court documents suggesting the earliest allegation dates back to 1993, when a 4-year-old stepdaughter told relatives he touched her inappropriately. Years later, she also claimed to have caught him sniffing her underwear. Other relatives accused him of abusing two of his daughters and a stepson.
Three separate police investigations were reportedly opened, but none led to charges.
Errol, who has at least nine children with three wives, dismissed the allegations as “nonsense” and “false,” insisting his family members were trying to extort Elon.
Elon has rarely spoken about his father, but in a 2017 Rolling Stone profile, he described him as someone capable of “almost every evil thing you could possibly think of.”
The Tesla and SpaceX boss did not respond to requests for comment on the new claims.
