Ballon d’Or: Arsenal’s Viktor Gyökeres named Best Striker while Luis Enrique crowned coach of the Year

The 2025 Ballon dOr ceremony in Paris on Monday night celebrated some of footballs biggest stars, with Arsenal forward Viktor Gykeres and Spain manager Luis Enrique among the top honorees. Gykeres, who was in sensational form last season leading Sorting Lisbons attack before this summers move to Arsenal, was awarded the Gerd Mller Trophy as the best striker of the year. His prolific goal-scoring exploits beat several elite forwards across Europe for the accolade. Spains Luis Enrique capped a remarkable year by winning the Mens Johan Cruyff Trophy for Best Coach of the Year, after guiding his national team to Euro 2025 glory.
