Popular media personality Danny Walter has opened up about his journey with faith, wealth, and personal struggles, revealing how his decision to step away from church in 2020–2021 did not negatively affect his life as many predicted.
In a candid revelation, Walter admitted that unlike others who attribute success to divine grace, he does not share the same conviction.

The influencer also addressed misconceptions about past controversies, particularly around comments that were linked to media personality Toke Makinwa. He clarified that his reference was not personal but misinterpreted due to existing narratives.
He speaks on how money changes people
Speaking on the impact of wealth, Walter noted that money doesn’t fundamentally change individuals but rather exposes their true selves.
Walter further disclosed that he experienced significant financial setbacks, including the loss of several brand deals within 24 hours and a devastating $500,000 crash in Bitcoin trading in 2022.
Despite these challenges, Walter maintains that those who truly understand him have remained supportive.
He said …
“I’m not the rich person that i’ll tell you is god’s grace there’s nothing like god’s grace with me i now told myself in 2020 2021 that i’m going to stop church for a year if my life gets worse i’m okay, but i stopped church and my life didn’t get worse i don’t have any regrets since i how they see me i feel like the people who understand me understands me and that’s enough. All the headlines were using Toke Makinwa one other people so when i wanted to make reference to that event i used Toke Makinwa one other people too So, in all sense, it felt like I was going after Toke Makinwa and that wasn’t the case.
What money does is, it doesn’t change you, it just brings out the inner you. The you that poverty was hiding. Coming from poverty, you feel the need to show people that, look, I’ve left this level. I lost a lot of deals at the same time, like 24 hours. So after I lost all the brand deals, no other brand was giving me deals. I had to look for somewhere else to make money because I was spending money and new money wasn’t coming out. Bitcoin crashed in 2022 and I was trading with a lot of money, almost $500,000 at the time. And you know, I lost it in one night. If I had made that post on social media that I lost this amount of money, God has punished you. I took him. God don’t catch him.”
