WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler suffers stroke

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler has withdrawn from a scheduled appearance after suffering a stroke, TMZ Sports reports.

Lawler experienced the medical issue last Friday at one of his homes in Florida, and his daughter confirmed he is on the road to recovery. He is expected to spend the next few weeks resting at his primary residence.

Lawler was scheduled to appear at HorrorHound Weekend in Cincinnati starting Friday, September 12, but organizers announced Monday, September 8, that he would not attend “due to some personal matters.”

The 75-year-old wrestling legend has faced multiple health challenges in recent years, including a massive stroke in 2023, a previous stroke in 2018, and a heart attack during a WWE “Monday Night RAW” broadcast in 2012.

Despite his medical history, sources say Lawler is recovering well and is expected to regain full health. He was last seen on television in February, attending a WWE “SmackDown” taping in Tennessee, where he appeared in good spirits.
