I hope my daughter doesn’t accept the things I’ve accepted

Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has shared a cryptic post, which many believe reflects on her past experiences and serves as advice to her daughter.

The embattled star, who has kept a low profile since her split from music legend 2Face Idibia earlier this year, posted the note on her Instagram story.

It read:
“I hope my daughter doesn’t accept things I’ve accepted, that she knows her worth from the start and knows that no matter what, she always has me in her corner.”

The post comes months after 2Face confirmed their divorce and went on to remarry. Annie’s message has been interpreted by fans as an expression of regret and a subtle warning to her daughter about relationships and self-worth.

Reactions trailing Annie Idbia’s cryptic message to daughter

street_proff wrote: “I pity any man who wants to marry her daughter in the future. The bitterness and hatred she’s coming with can severely damage any man. That’s why men must avoid women raised by single mums… They are walking time bombs and will soon explode to ruin your life.”

cryptobull_runs said: “Tragic. She would start doing all she can to make her daughter a bitter woman.”

prudence_web3 noted: “Women just dey try. Men na wa for una 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.”

lappoosky penned: “You knew before you dated Tubaba, it’s part of your mistakes nevertheless.”

kelvin_akproko noted: “The daughter of a bitter woman often serves the meals her mother cooked in her heart. Because when bitterness is the mother’s milk, the daughter drinks it too. He who marries the child of a wounded heart must be ready for inherited scars.”
