Kwara residents going for morning prayers discover man

The lifeless body of an unidentified man was discovered Tuesday, August 25, by residents of Agunbiade Parakoyi Street, Sawmill area of Ilorin, in Kwara State. 
 

Alhaji Abdulwahab Bello-Opeloyeru, Chairman of lfesowapo Community, who is also in charge of the area’s security, said he and other residents on the street heard a scream at about 3.39 a.m., but nobody could investigate due to the security situation in the area. 
 

On their way to observe early morning prayer hours later, they found a man’s corpse. 
 

The chairman alleged that the de@d man was coming from a hotel within the vicinity when the incident happened. 
 

He recalled that the community had met on Monday to take a stand against the establishment of hotels and alcoholic joints in the area. 
 

Police officers from the ‘B’ Division, Surulere Area, Ilorin, later arrived at the scene and evacuated the body.
