Gwinnett County police say the autopsy findings in the killing of Atlanta rapper T-Hood have not provided new information beyond what was already known. Officers told TMZ that, although T-Hood was shot in the back, the case is still being treated as a possible self-defense shooting.
The rapper, whose real name has not been disclosed in the reports, was fatally shot on August 8 inside his Snellville, Georgia home, United States of America. According to the county medical examiner’s office, he suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including to the back, abdomen, buttocks, and both thighs.
Investigators say the shooting followed a heated argument involving T-Hood and two other individuals. The report states that he brandished a gun during the confrontation, prompting another person to open fire. The identity of the shooter has not been publicly confirmed.
Emergency responders rushed T-Hood to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. At the time of his death, he was dating Kelsie Frost, the daughter of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” stars Kirk and Rasheeda.
Police initially responded to the scene after receiving a call about a domestic dispute. Since then, investigators have identified Kelsie’s brother, Ky Frost, as a primary suspect. Authorities have not filed charges, saying they are still working to determine if the shooting qualifies as self-defense, though the fact that T-Hood was struck in the back complicates that claim.
In addition, records show this was not the first police involvement with the couple. TMZ obtained a report from March 2025 in which Kelsie told officers T-Hood had taken her Mercedes-Benz and a Mac Mini computer without consent after an argument following a night out.
