A transgender woman has gone on trial accused of s3xual ass@ult by allegedly concealing her male genitalia from a man she was on a date with.
Ciara Watkin, 21, reportedly spent the night with the man after they exchanged messages on Snapchat, a court heard. Prosecutor Paul Reid told the jury that Watkin performed s3x acts on the man but refused to let him touch her, claiming she was on her period.

After the encounter, Watkin messaged the man to reveal a “massive secret,” to which he initially asked if she was pregnant. Watkin then disclosed: “I’m trans. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.” The man reportedly replied: “WTF. So you have a d***?” and added, “OMFG. I feel ill,” before reporting the incident to police.
Mr Reid said: “The defendant had concealed from the man that she had a p3nis during their brief relationship. The man told the police that if he had known Watkin was transgender, he would not have consented. He said: ‘I don’t swing that way.’”

The court heard that Watkin’s Snapchat profile used a female cartoon avatar and that there had been no discussion about s3xuality or gender before the encounter. When arrested, Watkin reportedly told officers: “Me and him had s3x without me telling him I was a boy. When I let him know I was a different gender, he didn’t like it.”
Mr Reid added: “She agreed that s3xual activity had taken place.”
Watkin, of Thornaby, Teesside, denies two counts of s3xual ass@ult and one count of s3xual ass@ult by penetration.
