The circus has come to Biggie’s house, and the gears have shifted from drama to dazzle. Come along on a ride into the heart of Biggie’s circus as every task this week is a performance, a spectacle of skill, and a dash of buffoonery.
If there is one thing that is constant in Biggie’s abode, it is that the gear is always shifting. This week, the house took a quick detour to clownery land. Themed ‘Circus Extravaganza’, the week has been packed with comical performances laced with elements of buffoonery.

To better understand how this fits into Big Brother Naija season 10, let’s do a shallow dive into what makes a circus, the unique elements, and the parties involved.
The Showman
Draped in flashy costumes and oozing excellent public speaking skills, this character is mostly considered the central figure of the circus – the host and face of the show, if you may. He is tasked with guiding the audience through the various performances while also building the excitement and aura needed for said performances.
The Aerialists
These are essentially performers who operate with strength, grace, and courage, high above the ground. They put their upper bodies to work, climbing, swinging, and swaying around with a ton of strength, flexibility, and fearlessness.
The Acrobats
Known for their feats of balance, agility, and motor coordination, these acts can bend and twist their bodies into seemingly impossible positions. They make witty, impressive, and dynamic movements, often in a series, just so they can emphasise the extent of their abilities. Twerking doesn’t count, unfortunately.
The Clowns
Often white-faced, goofy, and seen as a comic relief with their slapstick humour, physical comedy, and silly antics, clowns are skilled at improvisation. They understand the power of a good laugh. And, behind the jokes, there’s often a sharp awareness of the emotional currency in the room. By this definition, a return to an ex does not constitute clownery.
The Jugglers
These acts have incredible hand-eye coordination, timing, and precision. They manipulate and balance objects, keeping them in a rhythmic pattern of motion. It’s a delicate act; one wrong move and the whole routine could fall apart. But when they succeed, it’s pure art.
The Illusionists (Magicians)
One moment they are invisible, the next they’ve pulled off a move no one saw coming. The Magician’s strategy thrives on unpredictability, great showmanship, distraction, and a deep understanding of Psychology. They keep everyone guessing until their final act.
And finally, Supporting Roles
Consider them the engine room; these people serve as the enablers, helping the acts and the showman ensure that the audience enjoys a swell, uninterrupted, and extravagant experience. They are the stagehands setting up and dismantling equipment, ensuring safety, the musicians setting the tone and ambience, and the special effects. Think makeup and costume artists piecing together the visual appeal, one shade at a time.
In the end, every great circus needs all its acts to dazzle. Big Brother Naija, much like a circus, rewards those who bring a unique flair to the stage.
Now that we are settled on what this week’s theme entails, imagine this: if Biggie’s house were a circus tent, what circus role would your fave play?
