A heartbreaking incident has been reported in Auchi, Edo State, involving a truck belonging to the Dangote Group.
According to Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw, the truck — now in police custody — knocked down a young girl who had graduated just six days earlier.
The driver allegedly did not stop after the accident, but was chased down by an eyewitness, a lecturer, who managed to catch up with him. Shockingly, the truck’s licence plate was reportedly removed.
Kate Henshaw claimed that police are refusing the victim’s family and students access to the scene. The victim, who is the younger sister of reality TV star Phyna, has already had one leg amputated and may lose the other as she remains in critical condition in hospital.
She has called on the police and relevant authorities to ensure justice is served.
