In a post shared on her Instagram page, Vimbai re-echoed similar doubts of the ginger roots in Nigerian market. She says she is not going to be consuming them.
‘’I am wondering ow we got to the point that we are now importing ginger. Ginger is something you can grow in your backyard..These massive larger than life size ginger from China…I can’t tell you about the taste because I did not buy it. I am not putting that in my body. It might be ignorant, that is also possible but it’s not the type of ginger I am used to and until I do more research, its also not something I am going to be consuming.”
