A pet groomer in North Carolina has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of animal abuse after disturbing footage allegedly showed her violently handling several dogs during grooming sessions.
Kirsten Taylor, 28, of Mooresville, was taken into custody by Iredell County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with four counts of felony animal cruelty. The arrest follows the circulation of a video that law enforcement says shows Taylor aggressively striking and handling dogs at Classy Critters, a pet grooming business located north of Charlotte.

The video, which authorities describe as difficult to watch, allegedly depicts a woman, identified by officials as Taylor, repeatedly hitting frightened dogs as they cower against the walls of the grooming area.
Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that his office was alerted on Monday after Animal Services received multiple complaints along with the video footage. According to Campbell, the clip was recorded by a concerned coworker at the facility.
“The video revealed troubling behavior involving at least four separate dogs being treated in a clearly aggressive and abusive manner,” Sheriff Campbell said.
Following a review of the footage, deputies secured a warrant for Taylor’s arrest. She was booked and later released on a $10,000 bond, according to county jail records.
Authorities have not released the names of the dogs or their owners but confirmed that an investigation is ongoing to determine if there are additional victims.
