Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the upcoming Anambra State election scheduled for November 8, 2025, has reportedly been shot by unknown gunmen in Abuja.
According to Vanguard, the attack occurred on Friday night, July 18, near Wuse 2 while Ezenwafor was returning home from an appointment. He sustained serious injuries in the incident.
Ezenwafor, a real estate developer based in Abuja, is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital and where the doctors are to perform surgery to remove bullets from his body.
Two other individuals who were with him at the time sustained injuries and are reportedly being treated.
The motive behind the attack and the identities of the assailants is yet to be known.
