In the video, Portable could be heard expressing confidence in Nigeria’s future under Tinubu’s leadership. He insisted that despite the complaints and criticisms, the president is “working silently” and “not talking too much like others.”
“Since when dem don born me, Wey Nigeria don dey, e go better, e go better, na Tinubu tenure Nigeria better, na Tinubu make Nigeria better, Tinubu best president,” he said in pidgin.
He went on to condemn those who insult the president on social media
I see people dey insult Tinubu. My brother, dem go post Tinubu and still insult am. But Tinubu no dey talk — he dey work. Real work, not noise.”
Portable then switched to Yoruba, stressing that Tinubu is the best thing to happen to Nigeria right now. Here’s the rough interpretation of what he said in Yoruba:
“Tinubu’s time is the best. Don’t let anyone deceive you. Tinubu is doing what he promised. Go and check. Things are getting better. We are behind Tinubu 100%.”
He ended by saying many of the same people criticising Tinubu today will still “benefit from his government tomorrow.”
