A video showing several Master’s degree holders applying to be cameraman to popular streamer Peller has gone viral, sparking mixed reactions from Nigerians online
Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, recently announced an opening for a cameraman with a surprising requirement: applicants must possess at least a Master’s degree.
The role comes with an attractive monthly salary of ₦500,000, and out of the 20 individuals who showed interest, only two will be selected.
A clip from the interview session surfaced on Instagram, capturing Peller in a casual setting, exchanging greetings and playful banter with about ten male and female applicants.
He was seen engaging them one after the other, even jokingly asking one of them if their certificate was truly inside the envelope they brought along.
Despite the lighthearted tone of the video, reactions from viewers have been intense and divided.
Many criticized the applicants, questioning why highly educated individuals would queue for such a position—especially when the employer himself isn’t known for any formal education background.
