Relationship therapist and social media personality Blessing CEO has shared an emotional video addressing why many people struggle to experience love, blaming it on past trauma and negative conditioning.
In the video posted on Instagram, she urged followers to look inward and heal, stating that being “damaged” isn’t an insult but a result of unprocessed pain.
“A lot of you are damaged. When you’re damaged, everything beautiful becomes too good to be true,” she said.
Blessing spoke directly to those who doubt genuine love due to what they’ve seen, heard, or experienced in the past. She explained how social media and blog content often highlight chaos, breakups, and scandal, which in turn conditions many to expect the worst even in new relationships.
“The reason why you’re damaged is because you do not take the lessons out of the experience. Once you take out the lessons, you become peaceful,” she added.
She encouraged people to stop generalising based on one bad experience, reminding viewers that “men are not wicked” and “women are not wicked”—rather, it’s the individuals we choose that determine our experiences.
Drawing from both personal reflections and scriptural references, she concluded with a strong reminder:
“Love is beautiful. The only problem is, you don’t believe you deserve it. But you do.”
