
A 20 years old drug dealer identified as Abdullahi A. Bawa, has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly st@bbing his friend, Baba Ali, to de@th with a pair of scissors during an argument over hard drugs known as Diazepam.
The Chief Magistrate Court II presided by A. M. Adamu, issued the remand order following his arraignment by the Adamawa State Police command. The police prosecutor, Inspector Nunugi Tayeri, told the court that on April 25, Bawa, who hails from Ngurore in Yola South LGA, stabbed Baba Ali with a pair of scissors in the chest which led to his death during an argument over the owner of the banned substance.
The police also told the court that the suspect also stabbed a lady known as Hasim who is currently receiving treatment at a medical facility.
Insp. Nanugi told the court in the First Information Report he had tendered that the defendant allegedly murdered his victim over hard drug and injured one other.
He stated that the offences “causing grievous hurt and culpable homicide” contravene section 218 and 191 of penal code law Adamawa state.
