Victoria has recorded no new local Covid-19 cases for the third consecutive day.

No new cases were reported in the community or in hotel quarantine from more than 8,277 tests overnight, the state’s Department of Health and Human Services said on Monday morning.

There are still 25 active cases across the state.

Victoria’s last positive cases were confirmed on Thursday after three people in the same family contracted the deadly respiratory illness.

The state emerged from a five-day snap lockdown that ended on Wednesday after an outbreak of cases linked to the Holiday Inn quarantine hotel at Melbourne Airport.
