The Premier League has announced a clean bill of health after its final round of coronavirus testing, with no players or staff positive for the virus.
The top flight season ended on Sunday after resuming in June following months of suspension due to the virus, and officials confirmed there were zero positive cases to report in the last week after 1,574 tests.
A statement read: ‘The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday July 20 and Sunday July 26, 1,574 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, zero have tested positive.
‘The Premier League is providing this aggregated information for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency. No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public after each round of testing.’
