R&B singer Cassie and her husband, Alex Fine, have a fairytale romance — from dating to getting married to having two kids in just a span of a few years.
The “Me & U” crooner, 37, and the fitness enthusiast, 30, met through her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs, when the record producer hired him to be her personal trainer.
Cassie and Fine went public with their love in 2018 after she broke up with the Sean Jean CEO, 54, as their 11-year on-and-off relationship came to a halt.
On Nov. 16, 2023, the “Honey 3: Dare to Dance” actress, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, accused the Bad Boy Records founder of rape, physical abuse and sexual assault in a bombshell lawsuit.
“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships,” she said in a statement via her lawyers on Nov. 16.
Combs’ attorney, Ben Brafman, said his client “vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.” He also claimed that Ventura had been demanding $30 million from Combs for the last six months “under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.”

This year was a big one for Ventura and Fine. In June, she announced that she was pregnant with their first child, a daughter named Frankie. Their baby was born in December.
In August, the personal trainer proposed to the “Step Up 2: The Streets” actress in an engagement that was cowboy-themed.
Just two weeks later, the lovebirds tied the knot in Malibu in a backyard wedding.
“When he got down on one knee, everything just stopped,” she gushed to Vogue at the time about engagement. “I felt like I lost my sense of hearing. I saw just his mouth moving and he said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“I will never forget how special Alex made me feel that night,” she said.
In December, Ventura dropped the news that she was pregnant with her second child. They welcomed their daughter Sunny in March 2021.
The pair celebrated their four-year wedding anniversary and the “Long Way 2 Go” singer shared a tribute to Fine on social media.
“A day late, but had to make sure I showed ALL MY LOVE to this man! My husband! Happy 4th Anniversary to my Best Friend. There’s no one like you in this world,” she penned.
Ventura went on: “You have the biggest heart and the funniest sense of humor, your curiosity about life still surprises me and warms my heart everyday. I grow more and more and more and more in love with you as time goes on and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Most important of all, you’re only person that can actually make me laugh until I pee my pants – that says a lot. Thank you for loving me the way you do. I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️.”
Shortly after Ventura went public with her lawsuit against Combs, Fine stood by his wife’s side.
He supported her via social media when he posted a snap from their wedding day on his Instagram Stories alongside a red heart.
However, he deleted it a few minutes later.
