The Melbourne Cup winning racehorse Subzero has died aged 32.
The grey gelding became a household name after taking home gold in the 1992 Melbourne Cup before claiming another $2million in prize money over his lifetime.
He passed away at the Bendigo Equine Hospital at 2.38pm on Saturday.
The time of death remarkably paralleled the passing of his life-long carer Graham Salisbury on June 20 this year, reported the Daily Telegraph.
The winning racehorse was euthanised after several days of ill health.
