Traveller dubbed the ‘King of Sheffield’ taken to final resting place after sudden death in Majorca

Mourners lines the streets to pay their respects to the man dubbed the ‘King of Sheffield’ as he was taken to his final resting place.  

Willy Collins, a father-of-nine and the head of the Collins clan, passed away in July after collapsing on holiday with his family in Port de Pollença, Majorca.

His funeral was held at Shiregreen Cemetery on August 15 and hundreds lined the streets to pay their respects.   

Mr Collins’ coffin was taken to the cemetery in a carriage pulled by 12 white horses and 30 Rolls Royce lined up along Pitsmoor Road to pay tribute to him. 

His funeral cortege passed through his childhood home town of Darnall, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire according to Yorkshire Live

His heartbroken wife Kathleen said no expense had been spared to celebrate Mr Collins’ life as hundreds turn out to pay their respects.
