Drivers who were stuck in traffic on the M25 got out of their cars and queued for ice cream.

A motorbike crash near junction five on the M25 left the carriageway blocked and traffic came to a standstill- but that didn’t stop punters queuing up for a weekend treat.

The line for the Mr Whippi van on the carriageway near Junction Five in Kent got longer as motorists realised that they were stuck.

Andrea Heribanova filmed the queue and wrote online: ‘Just a normal day on M25… standstill because of a serious crash and a long queue for ice cream with people social distancing’.

A passenger in a car going the other way also filmed the long traffic, writing online: ‘The people stuck on the M25 junction 5 haven’t got it all bad. Ice cream van is open.’

It is understood that two people were taken to hospital after the collision, which happened at around 2pm today.
